Lars is a doctoral student in textile management at the Swedish School of Textiles. Lars’ interest is sustainability within fashion retail business. In his doctoral project, Lars follows initiatives within the fashion retail business that is described as sustainable. Examples of initiatives that Lars follows are: reuse/recycling of fashion and textiles, clothing libraries, second-hand shops and clothes rental. The general questions that Lars poses are: how do the initiatives work, who and what is included in the initiatives and how is sustainability created within the initiatives. Lars started his doctoral studies in February 2015, but has worked at the Swedish School of Textiles with teaching and administration since 2009.
